Recently, a copy of the until now unavailable book al-garīb al-muntaqà min kalm ahl al-tuqà has been found. In the manuscript, its authorship is attributed to Ibn Masarra. This article shows that its more plausible author is, according to the sources that mention this title, Ibn Khamīs al-Jāburī, an important link in the history of Andalusian Sufism. The structure and content of this ascetic and mystical work which Ibn Khamīs transmitted to the famous qāḍī ‘Iyāḍ are also studied here.
