The manuscript 2461 extant in the Rabat General Library contains a third zīŷ of the astronomer Muḥammad ibn al-Raqqām al-Andalusī (d. 1315): al-Zīŷ al-Mustawfà. The canons (chapter 18) and the table of the motion of the apogee that appear in al-Mustawfàare related to Isḥāq al-Tūnisī (fl. 1193-1222) who, probably, compiled a set of tables without canons. Ibn al- Raqqām knew well Ibn Isḥāq´s Zīj of which we knew, until recently, two recensions: : al- Zīŷ al-'āmil y al- Zīŷ al-Qawīm. In al-Mustawfà, a third recension of the same work, Ibn al- Raqqām clarifies what was Ibn Isḥāq´s opinion about the motion of the planetary apogees and gives information related to the different opinions the astronomers of the Andalusian-Maghribī school had on this topic.
