Abstract

This article presents an unknown medieval Toledan palace, built in the 1360's by Ruy López Dávalos, as well as its important set of carved stuccos. This building is studied in the artistic context of 1361 and compared with other interesting examples (Royal Palace of Tordesillas, synagogue of Samuel Halevi —El Tránsito— in Toledo, etc.). Finally, several unpublished sketches discovered in El Tránsito during its restoration in 1989 are presented, that are the precursors of the motives represented in the carved stuccos in the Ruy López Dávalos' palace.
